Frequently asked questions
The questions we hear most about Errorbird. If yours is not here, the documentation has the details.
What is Errorbird?
Errorbird is an API-first monitoring service that combines error tracking, log management and uptime / SSL / domain monitoring in one platform. It is built for developers and software agencies; data is hosted in Türkiye and invoices are issued in TRY.
Can it replace Sentry and Seq?
Yes. Errorbird groups errors by root cause into a single issue, the way Sentry does, and accepts logs in Seq’s CLEF format, so Serilog’s Seq sink writes to Errorbird without code changes. Uptime, SSL and domain monitoring are in the same product, so no separate monitoring service is needed.
Where is my data stored?
In Türkiye. Database, queue and backups all sit in the TR region — a written commitment in the data processing agreement, and one you can verify in the API response.
What if my logs contain personal data?
Scrubbing is on by default. Fields such as password and token are never stored, and national id, card, IBAN, phone and email patterns are masked before the event reaches the queue. You can add your own patterns.
Do I have to change my logging setup?
No. On Serilog the Seq sink stays as it is; only the server URL and the API key change. With OpenTelemetry you point the collector at the OTLP endpoint.
How trustworthy are the outage alerts?
An incident never opens without confirmation from at least two locations. A single location having network trouble marks the monitor degraded without alerting, and a probe failing on its own is never counted as your outage.
Can I show the data in my own panel?
Yes — that is the product thesis. Everything the dashboard shows is read from the public API, and the browser-safe publishable key is limited to a domain allowlist.
Does going over quota increase my bill?
No. When the quota is spent, ingest returns 429 and you are offered an upgrade. No surprise invoice is issued.
